PNG error message: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile

Reported by: arondobos Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone: 3.0.0
Component: wxMSW Version: 2.9.5
Keywords: png, libpng, iCCP Cc:
Blocked By: Blocking:
Patch: no

Description

In 2.9.5, I am using wxBITMAP_PNG_FROM_DATA( ) macro to load a small icon (time.cpng) that was generated from the original png image using wxWidgets/misc/scripts/png2c.py.

When I run my application, I get a message box saying " iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile ". This is new as of 2.9.5. I did not have this problem with svn rev#73427. If I click OK, the application continues to run seemingly normally, but it is quite an annoyance to receive this error message.

My simple test program is attached, along with the png files and a screenshot of the error message.

I am using Visual Studio 2012 Express, 32 bit, on Windows 7.

Also note: same behavior on both Debug and Release builds.

This is the same as #15331

Temporary solution: Wrap the image loading code with a wxLogNull instance to suppress the error message.

Or call wxLog::SetLogLevel(0) to disable all warnings application-wide.
